Update

I know I haven't been writing a lot over the past couple of years.  Lots of things have been going on but it's more of the same. Our jobs are paying less for the work and there is less and less work to go around.  MrLivingOurWay and I realize that if we want to be more self sufficient there will have to be sacrifices made.

One of the problems we've had is a true lack of energy and time.  Here are some things that were wrong have been fixed (or in the process of being fixed):

  • We became disorganized. We spent more time looking for things than we should have.
  • We embraced the Standard American Diet which made us feel sluggish.
  • We didn't prioritize our time well.
I hope to go into more detail about how we've fixed these things in future posts.

Some things that are coming up for us:

  • We have a new baby due in the Spring.
  • Starting next week, I'm going to attend the same agricultural classes that MrLivingOurWay attended a couple years ago.
  • We really are getting closer to getting something actually planted in that field we've been working on. MrLivingOurWay claims there are four more stumps to be pulled and then he will be able to plow.

  1. It's good to hear from you! Congratulations on your new bundle of joy on his or her way!!! Sometimes I think we have to make a decision about actually doing stuff, or just writing about it. At least, that's how it is for me. Part of my "being real" is that I blog less and live more. When you have the time, I can't wait to hear more about what's going on!
