Yesterday, our bee supplies arrived. In one box, you see the bee suits and gloves which will minimize stings. In the other box, you see the hive as it was shipped. It will obviously have to be put together and painted.

What fun! I so want bees but they just haven't made it to the top of the list yet. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Leigh! It makes sense for us since are going to try to grow some crops and my husband has some experience with bees already.
DeleteLucky you! DH and I have talked about getting bees, but he's worried about the maintenance on them. Sitting in the middle of the fields like we do, it would be beneficial to both the farmers and us if we did. Oh well, maybe someday I'll convince him!
ReplyDeleteJenn, from what I understand, there is very little maintenance. That is part of these reason we felt we could handle them with everything else we are also starting at the same time. You might want to look into it.
DeleteCongratulations! I'm jealous! LOL! Someday...
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteI wasn't actually expecting to help that much with the bees but my encouragement was mistaken and suddenly MrLivingOurWay was asking what size suit I needed. So now, I'm helping :D
Ha! That's great! You'll have to let us know how it goes!
